He was born in 1973 in Strumica, Republic of Macedonia. He received his primary musical education in his hometown and completed his secondary musical education in Shtip. He graduated from FMU in Skopje, the Department of Music Theory and Pedagogy, and the Department of Choral Conducting in Prof. Dragan Shuplevski’s class.
After graduation, he works as a music teacher. His employment as head conductor of the school choir and mandolin orchestra is expressed in the schools where he works. He achieved top results with both ensembles during his work, with many municipal, regional, and state awards, for which he received special recognition. He also successfully manages the city mandolin orchestra within the framework of MKC-Skopje, where he performs numerous performances in the country and beyond (Austria, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia, Croatia, Greece).
Vane Jovchev is obsessively connected to music, especially folklore, and this rich and fertile field entices him to explore through it, to discover and offer new expressive possibilities. And all that brings him to Synthesis, where he has been since 1994. and where, together with the other members of the group, he composes, arranges, orchestrates…, Vane Jovchev has the task of making the Synthesis between the original and the contemporary, which he achieves with the way of playing, but also with the way of harmonizing.
His portrait would be incomplete if we did not mention his creation of orchestrations for symphony and chamber orchestras, as well as composing songs for children’s festivals, newly created folk songs, and entertaining ones, which can be heard throughout the festival halls of the country and beyond.
