He was born in 1975 in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. He received his primary education in his hometown, at the “Marko Cepenkov” school, and his secondary education at the “Ilija Nikolovski – Luj” music school in Skopje. Goce Dimovski continuously acquired his musical education in his environment, and his father, Angele Dimovski, is a virtuoso of the original instruments.

Of course, a member of the family orchestra, “Sharen Kaval,” is known even outside our country’s borders. He has been a member of the Orchestra of Original Folk Instruments of MRTV for seven years. Since 1999, he has been a member of Synthesis.

Gotse Dimovski is fully involved in the creation, music making, and concerts with Synthesis; despite that, he actively participates in making music and concerts with other Macedonian original orchestras and groups, which try to preserve the folk original sound.

The bagpipes, the kaval, and the zurna are also noticeable on many other projects, of which the release of his own album, titled “Potkovica,” which includes all the original wind instruments (plus clarinet and saxophone), should be noted.

They often pass on their knowledge to lovers of Macedonian original music in ethnic camps organized in the USA and in many European countries, and their guest appearances and lectures on traditional Macedonian instruments at the prestigious University of Berkeley in the USA took place.
