Marjan Jovanovski
Tambourine and guitar

He was born in 1968 in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. Primary education ends at the school “29 Noemvri” (today “Vojdan Chernodrinski”), and secondary at the Construction School Center “Zdravko Cvetkovski”. He studies mechanical engineering and geodesy at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Skopje.
He began his musical career as a guitarist in the “Mirka Ginova” KUD, where he became a member of this cultural art society. Later, he spread his love for stringed instruments to the original, lyrical tambourine, on which he became a true virtuoso. His association with the tambourine resulted in his membership in the “Mile Kolarovski” Folk Instruments Orchestra.
He has been with Synthesis since its formation in 1994, and over the years, his dedication, responsibility, and organizational skills have made a great contribution to promoting Macedonian original music on all continents. As a member of the Synthesis group, he has collaborated extensively with world-famous and recognized musicians and music groups.
Although Marjan is fully involved in creating, making music, and performing with Synthesis, he actively participates in making music and performing with other Macedonian original orchestras and groups, which try to preserve the folk original sound.
He tirelessly shares his knowledge and experience of playing the tambourine and Macedonian rhythms at numerous workshops and seminars worldwide.
